It was a great day for our team who attended the 2018 Schools North East Business Management Conference yesterday at St James’ Park in Newcastle. We already work with many schools, colleges and universities so this was a great opportunity for us to meet with more individuals involved in the education sector.
The event was an opportunity for our team to promote the services of both our companies UK Lift and Escalator and UK Facilities Management to schools around the North East. Between both of our companies we’re able to offer a total building maintenance solution which makes managing the facilities easier as well as proving to be more cost effective.
At the event we were also able to promote the ‘Liam Loves’ campaign which teaches young children the importance of safety on and around lifts and escalators. The campaign has children’s books, colouring books and more to help raise awareness and we were able to take some of these along to the event which proved to be very popular. Not only are these useful to schools with lifts or escalators, but even those schools that don’t have any were certainly keen as the campaign helps teach the children important lessons for the outside world.
The team also had the opportunity to meet the legendary athlete Sally Gunnell as she popped by our stand. Sally is the only female British athlete to have won Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth titles so it was a privilege to have her pop by our stand to meet us.
