UK Lift and Escalator are happy to report the on time completion of the most recent modernisation project with the Environment agency. Following a successful tender win, UK Lift and Escalator attended site to meet the client and gain a full understanding of what their expectations were in terms of delivery and performance. Whilst the manufacturing took place, the site planning ran in tandem giving a smooth transition between removal and preparation works, to the car interior fit out. On delivery of the control and hydraulic package, the planning and survey accuracy proved beneficial as the actual lift out of operation time was kept to a minimum, returning the unit to passenger use in just over 2 weeks from initial removal from service.
The work consisted of a complete controller replacement and shaft rewire, a new door operator and new fixtures and fittings. The car interior refresh has given the lift a fresh clean look, and feels more spacious. The ride quality improvement will give the user a better journey experience altogether. UK Lift and Escalator look forward to a long working relationship with the Environment Agency following this successful project!
