UK Lift & Escalator Company Ltd are pleased to announce that we are working with a prestigious North East based education establishment, namely a college in Newcastle, to assist with their lift maintenance on one of their sites.

After surveying the equipment on site and discussing the usage of the lifts, we recommended four traditional lift maintenance visits per annum. During the survey, we also identified the need to install open protocol autodiallers to allow passengers to communicate with us, should they become trapped within the lift.

In addition to this, we also recommended the installation of key switches to some other units on site to restrict access to certain floors.

Having presented these findings to the client, along with our costs for lift maintenance and the recommended works, we received the order and commenced the works on site from the 1st August.

The college chose to work with us for a number of reasons, including our traditional lift maintenance offering, open protocol parts, rapid response times to all call outs and locally based, fully DBS checked NVQ qualified lift engineers.
