We’re very pleased that we have now completed another lift modernisation project in the North East. We were asked to bring a new lease of life to an old goods only lift at a manufacturing plant.
The shaft was very tight and the existing car sling was damaged beyond repair, so the solution had to be a new hydraulic package including a new ram and car sling from Algi. In addition, the new Schneider controls interacted well with the hydraulic equipment.
We then had the car refurbished due to the tight shaft and added 3D detectors onto the three access and egress points. This then allowed the removal of the drop bars that had been in place previously and caused repeat breakdowns.
Along with an increased load capacity on the lift, the overall project was well received by our client and will give years of good service for the production department.
