However, we were recently contacted by a client in relation to the installation of a stair lift in an existing residential building.
Yorkshire Coast Homes, who provide 4,500 properties across the North Yorkshire Coast had a resident within one of their properties that required a new stair lift. Upon receiving the request for a quotation from our client we immediately sent our engineering surveyor to the residents property to carry out a detailed lift survey and assess the end users requirements. From our surveyors visit to site it was found that a new stair lift would be the best and most cost effective solution for our client. We submitted a detailed proposal to the client in line with the tendering requirements and after the client reviewed all tenders and sought independent advice it was deemed that the UK lift and Escalator company tender was by far the most beneficial to the housing association. From receiving the official instruction to proceed with the works from our client our dedicated lift engineers were on site within 4 weeks to begin the installation of the new stair lift that was curved to suit the existing layout. We liaised with the resident to ensure our works would not cause them much disruption, but we still managed to start and complete the installation on time and within budget. We left the residents home in a clean and safe manner and they commented on how helpful our installation engineers had been throughout the whole process.
