We are pleased to finally announce that the main phase of work on our £2million modernisation project has now been completed. This project consisted of the full modernisation of 16 lifts, all of which are 17 floor high rise lifts.
In this project we worked with our supply chain partners for the Schneider Steuerungstechnik GmbH Lisa controller panels, linked with ZIEHL-ABEGG UK Ltd gearless machines. Global1Partners Ltd supplied the fermator robusta entrances and the overspeed governors along with the main rollers and shoes, bringing a phased and efficient delivery from the factory to make the most of limited storage space on site.
Once the entrances were in place, a high quality bespoke service was provided by Castle Eden Fabrications who supplied and fitted the architraves, and a very pretty motor room plinth guard rail and ladder set!
The lift journey counters are logging in excess of 12k runs a month with minimal disruption, which is great for the building users, especially now social distancing has restricted the amount of users in one lift at one point.
The combined effort from the team including the suppliers and supporting trades has allowed us to exceed expectation of our client, delivering on their capital works plans for the 2.5 year project.
