Completed Lift Modernisation Project – Sunderland

We are proud to announce the completion of a major lift modernisation / refurbishment project for a client in Sunderland.

Previously, the lift on site was isolated by another lift contractor as the obsolete drive unit had failed causing the lift to be left isolated.

The client was offered a replacement control panel solution by another contractor but after consulting with the lift modernisation / refurbishment team at UK Lift and Escalator Company it was decided that the best solution would be a complete lift upgrade.

Although the complete modernisation / refurbishment would be far more expensive than just changing the control panel it was decided that this would be the far more cost effective solution in the long term.

Following our survey and provision of a quote to the client, they decided to go ahead with the works, which included but not limited to the following:

  • Complete new control system
  • All associated shaft and control wiring
  • New car operating panel
  • New landing operating panels
  • New trailing cables
  • 24v BUS system
  • Remote monitoring

We used a high quality German control system which was sourced from our supply partner in Germany, namely Schneider.  This will provide a long lasting and reliable quality lift which can be used for many years with the minimum of trouble. The benefits of using this package are:

  • Cost effective solution
  • Easy to install
  • Quick delivery and lead times
  • Remote monitoring as standard
  • Superb reliability
  • Modern and aesthetically pleasing
  • Quality hard wearing components
