We recently carried out a lift modernisation at a beautiful Edwardian country house in Northumberland. The house was built in 1906 and is a beautiful getaway that is used by many for space to reflect or to meet with others. Whilst certain things age gracefully just like the home itself and the grounds, unfortunately their lift had not. We were brought in to discuss options to upgrade the equipment and also to make the lift interior more aesthetically pleasing, ultimately giving passengers a better ride and experience whilst using the lift.
As always with customers who are considering lift modernisation, we carried out a free survey on our site visit and provided the customer with options based on what we identified as priority works and additional items for consideration. We appreciate that every customer has a budget to work with, so our open and honest approach helps customers to work within their budget. After discussions with the client we came up with a modernisation package that worked for this customer which included a new ram, new controller, new fixtures, new hydraulic tank and new car interior. As well as offering a better passenger experience, the new equipment proposed also offered energy savings which is another huge benefit of the new and improved equipment. The client was very excited for the works to get going as were we.
Due to the quiet and relaxed natured getaway that this customer offers to its clients and the bookings they had, we had limited time frames to work with to ensure the project was completed as the client requested. However, meeting the requirements of our clients is something that we take pride in as part of our high-quality modernisation packages.
As promised the project was delivered on time and it was a huge success. The quality of ride had improved significantly and the lift is certainly now more aesthetically pleasing, giving a much-improved passenger experience which is what the customer wanted. Following the project completion, the customer got in touch to give the following feedback:
