UK Lift & Escalator Company – Lift Repair in Newcastle

Recently, a property management client called and asked us to take a look at two troublesome units that had broken down and likely required a lift repair. The site was located in Newcastle, and although we don’t currently maintain these units, we do a lot of work with this company and hope to be maintaining these units soon!

We attended site and found the lifts to be broken down upon arrival. After carrying out the necessary risk assessments to work on the lift equipment, we began fault finding and soon found that the issue with both lifts was down to the shaft signalling tape head system. We communicated this to the property management company, and after they received a competitive quote to repair the lift, they gave us the go ahead and we ordered the necessary parts required to return the lift in to service.

These parts were delivered to the UK Lift & Escalator Company Ltd head office in Sunderland, and our engineer immediately headed across to the site with the parts. He fitted the new replacement shaft signalling tape head systems to both lifts, set them up as necessary, and ran the lifts extensively to ensure this had fixed the problem.

The lift repair that we carried out has allowed both lifts to return to service only two days after they broke down. The speed of our lift repair service, along with our first class communication to our clients and highly knowledgeable NVQ qualified engineers allows us to deliver our outstanding service to all of our customers.
