UK Lift & Escalator Company Ltd are delighted to announce that we are this seasons shirt sponsors for Whickham Coachman Football Club. Our MD has been associated with the club for a long time and we’ve included some history of the club below:
- Whickham Coachman FC was founded in 1968.
- The club application to the Tyneside Sunday League was accepted that year and in the 1984/85 season the club started in 3rd Division.
- Back to back championship wins ensured promotion to the 1st Division where they remained until this season.
- In a highly competitive league, championship success was achieved 2014/15 season.
- They have won the Combination Cup in 1990/91, 1996/97, 2000/01, 2012/13 and 2014/15.
- They have also won the Challenge Shield in 1992/93, 2009/10 and 2014/15.
Following the demise of the Tyneside Sunday League this season they started a new chapter in the clubs history by joining the Gateshead and District Sunday League. They have started the new season with 2 wins from both games, and we wish them all the best for the rest of the season!
