We have now witness tested our modernised unit at a local North East University and handed over to the consultant and client with a clean sheet! The job consisted of a Schneider lift controller package, with new wiring and Lisa fixtures, Re-rope, Pulley and Safety Gear overhaul and a motor room refresh with new wiring and guarding. The lift is also finished off with a new Wittur Hydra Plus door Operator and a full new sets of rollers and shoes, meaning the lift now runs like a dream. Due to the existing national situation with most of the university students and staff not attending the building, it made absolute sense to carry out this much needed refurbishment now, bringing the lift back into service ready for their return.
With this being a glass fronted scenic lift, the view for the engineer was an added bonus! No time to reflect though as the next job is waiting!
